Mpac Langen celebrates 30 years in the Netherlands

In 2018, Mpac Langen marked 30 years in the Netherlands with two events: an on-site open day in June and a specially-themed annual staff party in October. A brilliant time was had by all and both were a huge success; here’s to thirty more years of packaging machinery excellence.

From Langenpac to Mpac Langen: our Wijchen site’s history

Langenpac N.V. was established in 1988 as a sister company of the Canadian family firm H.J. Langen of Toronto. These were both acquired by Molins in 1996, the forerunner to Mpac Langen. These acquisitions allowed us to harness Langen’s decades of expertise in providing packaging machinery equipment for cartoning, case packing and palletising that led a series of pioneering packaging projects for several household names.

The open day provided family and friends a chance to see how our range of innovative packaging machinery solutions are designed and assembled, such as the SOLANO, MAESTRO-i and VENTO. Visitors were also given a tour of the office spaces that are housed at the site. There was something on offer to entertain all ages.

Staff party goes ‘Back to the Future’

n a further celebration of this milestone in Mpac’s history, the annual off-site staff party, was given a 30th anniversary twist. A ‘Back to the Future’ theme was chosen to reflect the decade in which the Wijchen office was established. As such, a genuine Delorean DMC was parked outside for all to enjoy and there was also a Marty McFly-esque VR rollercoaster experience.

Another nod to the 1980s came via the evening’s main entertainment: an appearance by His Royal Badness, Prince. This rounded the evening off, and soon after his set was over, guests began to head home having had a superb evening.
