Tissue World Milan 2019: sustainability and industry 4.0 take centre stage

On 25th-27th March 2019, alongside distributor Tissuenet, we presented our full proposition of packaging machinery and automation solutions to over 3000 trade professionals at Tissue World Milan 2019.

Event Overview

First launched in 1993, Tissue World is the world’s largest tissue industry exhibition and conference. This year the event was held in Fieramilanocity, Milan, and hosted 200 companies who had the opportunity to present to over 3,000 key decision makers and leaders from the industry.

The event also featured cutting edge educational talks and seminars from more than 50 distinguished guest speakers, including academics from top universities, industry leaders and sustainability experts

This event, which happens once every two years, offers an exciting opportunity for Mpac Langen to present our full proposition of packaging machinery and automation solutions and to network with an engaged audience of experts from across the entire tissue value chain.

Proven solutions for tissue packaging

While we are eager to present our entire range of industry leading high-speed packaging and automation solutions, it was our LEVANTO and MAESTRO-c side-load cartoners that were of particular interest to the tissue industry professionals. See our tissue cartoners in action below.

LEVANTO (max 160 cpm) and MAESTRO-c (up to 400 cpm) are the most efficient high-speed tissue cartoners on the market today. These combine a set of fully automated capabilities at each stage of the tissue packaging production line with an ergonomic and operator friendly design – maximising speed, quality and efficiency.

These continuous motion cartoners can handle a wide range of carton sizes and are available with custom dedicated infeed systems that are adaptable to different packaging styles. Providing gentle product handling, precise carton closing and flap folding, and our advanced human-machine interface (HMI).

Key Trends

This year’s conference was dominated by two main trends – industry 4.0 and sustainability.

At Mpac Langen, we are engaged in both issues. We know that industry 4.0 weighs heavy on the minds of everyone in the automated manufacturing industry. That’s why our new packaging machinery and automation solutions are equipped with advanced HMI. This offers businesses a way of future proofing their manufacturing process and helps them prepare for this important transition.

As innovators, sustainability is of particular interest to Mpac Langen. We are committed to investigating the greater use of innovative packaging materials in order to reduce dependence on single-use plastics and increase the range of sustainable packaging machinery solutions for our customers.

Overall, Tissue World Milan 2019 was a huge success. We look forward to attending the next conference when it is held in Dusseldorf in 2021.
