The Position
The Electrical Technician apprentice at Mpac Lambert, you will be an integral part of our team, supporting the sub assembly & installation of electrical systems within the machinery we manufacture.
The role offers the opportunity to gain hands on experience in the electrical field while undergoing a structured apprenticeship programme. Working under the supervision of qualified technicians, you will develop your technical skills and knowledge of industry leading equipment and systems.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of electrical wiring, control panels and machinery in line with our project requirements and standards.
- Conduct routine testing and inspections of electrical systems to ensure functionality & compliance with our safety regulations.
- Assist in identifying electrical issues and apply solutions under the guidance of Electrical Technicians.
- Follow Mpac’s health and safety rules, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of tasks completed.
- Complete the required coursework & hands on training as part of the apprenticeship programme, progressively developing into a fully qualified electrical technician.
- Ensure the correct use of tools and equipment, reporting any issues to your supervisor.

- Consistently deliver high quality work and meet deadlines set by your supervisor while learning and applying new technical skills.
- Adhere to our safety guidelines and standards.
- Successfully meet the requirements for the apprenticeship programme, including achieving relevant qualifications.
- Demonstrate improvement in technical capabilities, problem solving and hands on experience as a electrical technician.

Knowledge and Experience
- A strong desire to learn about electrical systems and technology.
- We welcome applicants who are new to the industry and looking to gain experience. However, any exposure to electrical concepts or school-level work in subjects like mathematics is helpful.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others and learn from experienced team members.
- A basic understanding of how to approach simple problems, with guidance from senior staff.
- Being dependable, punctual, and prepared to engage in the learning process.
Technical Skills and Qualifications
Essential
- Must be 16 years old or older.
- To qualify you will have to have GCSEs ( Grade 5 ornabove) in Mathematics and English language.
- A keen interest in electrical systems, circuits, or general technology.
- Clear communication with supervisors and colleagues, both verbally and in writing.
- A general understanding of safety practices (though full training will be provided).
- A positive attitude towards learning new skills and developing professionally.
