We’re expanding fast and are looking for a Senior Electrical & Controls Engineer to join our high-performing engineering team. If you have a passion for automation, a drive for problem‑solving, and at least 5 years of hands‑on experience, we want to hear from you!
What You’ll Do
As a key contributor to our automation projects, you’ll be responsible for the design, programming, commissioning, and ongoing support of advanced automated systems. Your work will directly support customers in the food & beverage and life sciences sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, specify, implement, commission, and troubleshoot automated systems
- Document process sequences of operation and develop detailed technical documentation (IO maps, SOOs, etc.)
- Specify automation hardware and software components
- Program:
- PLCs
- HMIs
- Multi-axis motion/servo systems
- Robotics with line tracking
- Integrated and standalone machine vision systems
- Support FATs, SATs, and site start‑ups
- Provide operational and control system troubleshooting support
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who is motivated, technically strong, and effective in both team environments and independent work.
Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of relevant automation or controls engineering experience
- Proficiency in ladder logic programming (Rockwell preferred)
- Experience with vision systems (Cognex, Fanuc, Keyence)
- Understanding of automated system risk assessments
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to handle deadlines and work under pressure
- Ability to conceptualize systems from idea to operation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer and vendor interaction
- Willingness to travel up to 25% (including trips lasting 1–2 weeks)
